IST Demonstrates Advanced Lighting Technology to Government Minister

IST recently participated in the exclusive ‘Innovation in Lighting’ exhibition to showcase the very best of innovation and manufactuArchenhold and Ministerring in the UK lighting industry. The showcase event, which took place in the foyer of the Department for Business and Enterprise (BIS) at 1 Victoria Street, London in December 2012, was limited to leading companies who manufacture their products in the UK.

The aim of the BIS event was to highlight UK success stories within the lighting industry, covering all parts of the supply chain from electronic driver systems through to high quality LED lighting fixtures and state-of-the-art lighting technologies, such as visual light communication/LI-FI.

IST relished the opportunity to showcase its new flagship LED driver known as the iDrive® Thor 36, which offers over 2000W of power in a 1U rack-mounted configuration across 36 separately programmable output channels. The new Thor 36 LED driver is one of the most advanced LED drivers on the market and includes the ability to be controlled and programmed througiDrive Thor36h the internet, power line control and wireless technologies. The Thor 36 is one of the many patented LED drivers in the iDrive® range, which are market leaders in their field due to their superior energy efficiency and dimming capabilities.

Michael Fallon, Business and Enterprise Minister visited the exhibition and met the entrepreneurs behind the chosen companies.
