Product Description

The market leading iDrive® LED driver range now includes the 1000W iDrive® Thor 8, which has specifically been designed for constant voltage LED products. The Thor 8 can be dynamically configured to operate 12V to 28V or 45V to 52V constant voltage LED systems, with each output capable of providing up to 8A, up to a maximum of 40A across all 8 channels.

Advanced control technology enables users to dim any resistive constant voltage LED fixture in 8-bit or 16-bit mode, offering unprecedented accuracy for dimming and colour control. The system offers the widest choice of control protocols available in any driver and has been designed to operate with DMX, RDM, DALI, Art-Net 3, Art-OSC, and sACN Ethernet protocols.

Special features include overvoltage, under-voltage, short circuit, power optimisation functions and common anode LED output channel mode. The Thor 8 overcomes the video camera flicker seen with the majority of standard LED drivers and is ideal for TV and film applications, due to its high frequency, high resolution outputs, which can be dynamically programmed up to 65kHz.

The Thor 8 is ideal for linear fixtures and LED tape applications and saves considerable installation costs, commissioning time and reduces the need for large numbers of circuit breakers
